Hi! I am so glad you took the brave step to look for a therapist and found your way here! I know that therapy is a vulnerable experience and taking steps to find someone who is a good fit can be difficult. I also know that making progress in therapy requires a lot of trust in your provider. I see myself as someone to hold space for you while you explore your thoughts and feelings in order to deepen your understanding of yourself and improve your relationships.
I teach practical skills for managing intense emotions, help people wade through the after-effects of trauma and grief and guide them on their path to growth. I also work with couples and families looking to untangle patterns in their relationships that are causing them distress. I help them understand the root causes to these challenging relationship dynamics and learn new ways of interacting with one another.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and a board approved supervisor for those seeking LMFT or LPCC licensure. I have been providing therapy to individuals, couples and families for over 12 years and supervising for the past several years. I have worked in various settings including in-home, intensive residential treatment, outpatient community mental health and private practice, which has given me a broad systems perspective. I am trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, internal family systems, motivational interviewing and other interventions. I am also trained in soma yoga and incorporate yoga theory into my practice with those who are interested. I try to see the whole individual and integrate the healing aspects of nature, body, movement and breath to help folks find balance and mental wellness.
